This programme is aimed at training qualified multi-discipline experts in the field of the Russian language studies. They develop a high level of proficiency in the history of Russian and substantive commentary on and modelling of the observed changes in the Russian language. They are also capable of forecasting changes in the language system.

The graduates can work as teachers at universities, colleges and secondary schools, researchers, employees at literary museums and archives.
