  • The programme is designed to train highly qualified specialists who are able to: critically analyse and evaluate advanced academic achievements in the field of education and pedagogy; generate new ideas in solving research and practical problems in key areas of pedagogical science, as well as in interdisciplinary areas;
  • The structure and content of the programme includes the preparation of an innovative teacher-researcher, teacher-practitioner, with due regard to the modern achievements of the pedagogical and psychological sciences, and world trends in changing the educational process;
  • The programme involves: an in-depth study of the methodological and theoretical fundamentals of pedagogy; mastering modern research methods and techniques in their area of study; the development and building of skills in academic activities that are necessary for a teacher working in the field of modern education, including inclusive education;
  • While studying, doctoral students have the opportunity to participate in international conferences and various research projects (the teachers of the programme successfully receive research grants), with some of them being carried out in collaboration with colleagues from leading universities;
  • Training includes preparation for: participating in the work of Russian and international research teams to solve current scientific and educational problems; and using advanced techniques of scientific communication in Russian and foreign languages.
