You can apply for transfer to pursue your study at St Petersburg University only before the period of study (semester) starts. You can apply for study only on a fee-paid basis. You can submit your application and all documents during the academic year.
For full details of how to apply and what documents to submit, please see our Rules and Regulations for Central Commission on Transfer and Readmission, Commission for Changing the Study Bases, and Commission for Application in Transfer and Readmission that are duly signed by the Senior Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Extra-Curricular Affairs, and Methodological Support.
The SPbU Methodological Council or Methodological Commission prepares an evaluation report of the submitted documents to accept achievements, learning outcomes and periods of study as stipulated by the Order duly signed by the Senior Vice-Rector for Methodological Support or another authorized person. Then the Methodological Council or Methodological Commission of the Divisions of the University recommends educational programmes and periods of study you can apply for.
If you wish to take part in the competition to transfer to pursue your study at St Petersburg University, you should submit the following documents (with the translations into Russia duly signed by authorized persons):
- A letter of motivation written in Russian
- A copy of the identity document or identity document of a foreign citizen in the Russian Federation
- An official record of a student's work, showing courses, disciplines, modules, practices taken, grades achieved and credits
- A document in original confirming the previous education or a copy duly signed
Then create a Personal Account on the website of SPbU and upload all the required documents to your Personal Account
