Our advantages

  • The master's programme ‘Legal Regulation of Natural Resource Use’ is implemented with the support of PJSC Gazprom Neft. It is unique in its comprehensive (interdisciplinary) approach to the content of the courses. It combines fundamental theoretical training with knowledge of legal precedents in the current environmental legislation.
  • The practical focus of the programme is intensified through master classes given by leading practicing lawyers of companies engaged in environmental management. The academic staff uses cutting-edge teaching methods such as: information technology; case studies; role-playing; and business games. The training is focused on the analysis of law enforcement practice in order to develop various options for solving challenges of applying the law.
  • The academic programme has been designed taking into account the views of employers on the correlation of graduates’ competencies and job functions in their professional activities.

Career

The programme is aimed at training highly qualified specialists capable of providing comprehensive legal support of activities in the areas of resource conservation, creation and maintenance of efficient operation of environment management and environmental protection. They apply modern tools to ensure the sustainable functioning of techno-natural systems that are competitive in the Russian and international labour markets aimed at the implementation of the tasks of digital economy.

The graduates will be in demand by international organisations, Russian government bodies and local self-government, Russian and international economic entities whose activities are related to the legal support of environmental management processes. The graduates are trained for public service, judicial activity and advocacy; they can also work as corporate lawyers, provide legal support to businesses, human rights protectors, academic and research workers.
