Our advantages

It is the only academic programme in Russia that meets the modern challenges of managing public and political communications. The programme synthesises domestic and foreign experience in solving issues arising in the process of making political decisions, including unpopular ones. Special attention is paid to such communication activities as: lobbying and GR (government relations); information support of the activities of state and municipal authorities; and political consulting.

The training process involves

  • close cooperation with the professional associations: the European Association of Political Consultants; the Russian Association of Political Consultants; the Russian Association of Public Relations; the Association of Consultancies in the Field of Public Relations; and the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia
  • implementation of field-specific projects at professional activity sites such as the St Petersburg University Media Centre; and international competitions such as PolitPRpro, Proba Awards, and Silver Archer
  • Highly qualified teaching staff: authors of well-known textbooks in the field of public relations, political communications, government relations (GR); and prominent practitioners-managers and top managers of communication agencies, political strategists, corporate communications consultants, winners of prestigious professional prizes and awards
  • Extensive contacts with foreign partners that enable international exchanges and joint programmes
