Our advantages

  • The programme is designed to train specialists in the field of medicine who know modern methods of anaesthetic protection of the body against emergency effects during surgical treatment. They also know resuscitation and intensive therapy in critical conditions caused by diseases, injuries and intoxication;
  • The process of training is provided with the modern pedagogical technologies of informatisation and computerisation. These include the use of specialised training and simulation programmes, computer testing and distance learning;
  • To acquire the necessary manual skills, students have a training simulation course involving manikins. Thus, they work out the skills of: tracheal intubation; catheterisation of the central and peripheral veins; regional anaesthesia; cardiopulmonary resuscitation measures, etc.;
  • Clinical residency students under the supervision of lecturers are engaged in clinical care together with anaesthesiologists and intensive care physicians and heads of relevant divisions. During the first year, practical training takes place in operating theatres, where students acquire anaesthesia skills in various fields of surgery;
  • Clinical residency students are required to be on duty in emergency care, and acquire principles of emergency anaesthesia in urgent situations. During the second year, practical training takes place in the resuscitation and intensive care unit. They acquire skills of managing patients in critical conditions and planned post-surgical treatment.
