  • The programme is designed to train specialists in the field of medicine who know modern innovative technologies. They will be able to use them in practice in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of dermatological diseases and sexually transmitted diseases;
  • In order to build and develop students' professional skills during the academic process, the programme provides an extensive use of active and interactive forms of conducting classes. These include computer simulations, business and role-playing games, case studies and other trainings, together with extracurricular work. The training courses include meetings with representatives of Russian and foreign companies, state and public institutions, master classes of experts and specialists;
  • Practical work is carried out in various dermatological and venereological divisions of out-patient hospitals and dermatovenerologic dispensaries of clinical bases. It is under the direct supervision of an employee of the department responsible for the work of a certain division, and division heads. Lateral training is carried out at the bases of the departments involved;
  • Specialists from the clinical base who are deeply involved in certain issues can be invited to teach these specialist practical and technical professional matters such as mycology, laboratory diagnosis, etc.;
  • City interuniversity sessions and on-site clinical case studies at leading hospitals of St Petersburg are held regularly. There is a student academic group on dermatovenereology on the Internet with more than 1,200 subscribers. Students are actively involved in independent research.
