The lecture comprises the cycle ‘The History of the University in People’. It marks the 200th anniversary of Pafnuty Chebyshev (1821-1894).
It will focus on the life of Pafnuty Chebyshev. He was the founder of the university mathematical school, talented inventor, and brilliant teacher.
The lecture is delivered by Nina Zherve, an employee of the St Petersburg University History Museum, historian, and an award winner of the National Prize for Cultural Heritage in 2013 in the nomination ‘Enlightener’.
