The Union ‘Professionals in the field of educational innovations’ has summed up the results of the survey. The number of respondents exceeded 3,000. Among them were teachers of schools, universities, technical schools and colleges from different regions of Russia. Almost a third of the respondents voted for Tatiana Chernigovskaya, Professor at St Petersburg University, Director of the Institute for Cognitive Studies at the University, an outstanding scholar and a science populariser.
According to the survey results, the second place was taken by Valentina Matvienko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation (22.9% of the votes). Olga Vasilieva, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, is ranked third (16.7%).

Tatiana Chernigovskaya is a Doctor of Biology, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Honorary Scholar of Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Honoured Worker of Science of the Russian Federation.
