The St Petersburg University’s Alumni Association offers a scholarship programme that is available for first-year master’s students.

You must submit your application by the deadline of 26 April 2021. Successful applicants will receive an annual scholarship of 200,000 roubles. 

About the scholarship programme

The scholarship programme is one of the key projects held by the Alumni Association that aim to support talented early-career researchers. This scheme provides students with the opportunity to reach highly ambitious aims, create projects, and engage with the most up-to-date research. Between 2016 and 2020, 127 master’s students were awarded this scholarship.

Who is eligible to apply?

You must be a first-year full-time master’s student in one of 13 fields of study at St Petersburg University. You may study on a government-funded basis or a fee-paying basis. You may be a national of any country.

How to apply?

In order to be considered for this scholarship, you must successfully pass two selection rounds. First, you should fill an application form, and write a motivation letter and an essay. Second, you must successfully pass a face-to-face interview with experts.

What will you get?

You will be offered a monthly student allowance of 20,000 roubles for the duration of the next academic year. Additionally, you will find yourself in a community of the committed early-career researchers and be guided by mentors who graduated from the University and are successful in their career in the relevant professional sphere.

Timeline

The deadline is 26 April 2021. You are strongly advised not to postpone filling an application form until the last moment. This is supposed to enable you think thoroughly and re-write your application to ensure it is in an amazing shape.
