SPbU’s master programme ranked top in Masters in Management 2017 Ranking
The graduate programme in Master in Management — MiM at St Petersburg University is ranked top 40 in a new Masters in Management 2017 Ranking by The Economist. SPbU’s Graduate School of Management is the only Russia’s university in the 2017 ranking.
The SPbU’s Master in Management entered the Economist’s Which MBA? for the first time and is ranked 37 in the overall rankings. By some ranking criteria, MiM is on a par with the world’s top business schools (HEC Paris in France and ESADE in Spain.
It is our major breakthrough, said GSOM Director Andrei Kostin. SPbU’s Graduate School of Management has no equals in business education Russia and ranked in the Financial Times Rankings and EdUniversal Rankings, he added. The fact that GSOM is now ranked in The Economist proves that we are on the right track to foster our relationships with the world’s business and academic communities. The School is ranked top with the world’s leaders in business education, and its success is a sign of SPbU’s excellence and competitiveness in the education market, said Andrei Kostin.
The summary of ranking criteria: open new career opportunities (37%), faculty quality (30 %), increase in salary (23 %), and potential to network (10 %). The weightings are measured against student data that are preferred to those supplied by the institution and reflect how students see these criteria. Data are collected using two surveys: the first is completed by schools, covering quantitative matters such as the salary of graduates, the number of registered alumni, the diversity of recruiters and the like, the second survey is sent to current students and recent alumni, asking them to rate various aspects of their business schools. All data received from schools were subject to verification checks.
