Programme description

The clinical residency programme "Maxillofacial Surgery" is designed to: deepen fundamental medical knowledge; improve professional qualifications; and develop the medical judgement of a maxillofacial surgeon. Graduates of the programme are specialists who are knowledgeable about normal variants and the pathology. They are able to successfully solve all types of professional tasks to preserve the life and health of patients using advanced diagnostic methods and digital health techniques. These include: a multi-level system of telemedical consultation services; conservative methods; and traditional techniques and methods of surgical treatment of pathological processes in the maxillofacial region. They will be ready to introduce cutting-edge scientific and technological developments in the field of dentistry and maxillofacial surgery.

Graduates of the clinical residency programme are high calibre maxillofacial surgeons who are: 

  • equipped with a system of professional and universal skills 
  • ready to independently carry out professional activity in the provision of specialised medical care to the population; and 
  • well-versed in the issues of organisation and economy of healthcare, insurance medicine and medical psychology

Graduates of the programme are ready to use the information space that makes it possible to use: remote forms of diagnosing and treating in the field of telemedicine; and remote methods of diagnosing, monitoring the condition of patients and treating them, including robotic and mechanised complexes for performing medical and preventive procedures.
