Programme description
  • The bachelor’s programme ‘Restoration of Fine and Applied Art Objects’ provides the fundamental university liberal education. It also provides the opportunity to acquire professional knowledge, skills and restoration techniques for a chosen specialisation: restoration of monumental paintings, sculpture, rare books, gilding, and art compositions made of wood
  • Special attention during the training is paid to: the protection of monuments, including legal and economic issues; and management issues connected with the use of cultural heritage and promotion of its conservation
  • The programme is based on: advanced information and cutting-edge technologies; and new methods and tools in the field of attribution, restoration and protection of cultural heritage

Teaching staff

Among the teaching staff of the programme are: leading experts in restoration of monuments of art and architecture; members of the Russian Union of Artists; well-known St Petersburg artists; and participants in numerous international and Russian exhibitions, who have trained more than one generation of young artists-restorers.
