The Computer Development Centre joins the consortium on the basis of the Distributed Ledger Technologies Centre at St Petersburg University

The Distributed Ledger Technologies Centre at St Petersburg University has signed a cooperation agreement with the joint-stock company ‘Computer Development Centre’. The companies will work as a consortium to integrate their own information products, which are of high demand today among government and business organisations.

The Computer Development Centre is one of the largest subsidiaries of the Kodeks information company, which develops intelligent electronic document management systems and intelligent decision support systems. The company's products are implemented within many Russian organisations. The customers are representatives of the public sector, commercial organisations, and educational institutions.

We are confident that such a format of cooperation will make it possible to integrate the developments of both companies in the most effective manner. Among these products are the electronic document management system Kodeks and the blockchain-based solution for remote voting CryptoVeche. They will provide new opportunities to customers, as well as to all participants of the consortium.

Dmitriy Shishmakov, Head of the Distributed Ledger Technologies Centre of St Petersburg University

The integration of CryptoVeche and the Kodeks electronic document management system will create conditions for the exchange of documents and coordination of the election agenda in a single system. A comprehensive solution will make it possible to remotely conduct the entire voting process, including signing protocols and storing documents in the archive. The interaction of the consortium members will increase the efficiency and expand the functionality of already created information products.

The Distributed Ledger Technologies Centre of St Petersburg University has been developing new blockchain products since 2018. The centre also provides expert services in the field of distributed ledger and takes major role in the organisation of thematic events. Specialists from the centre participate in the development of master’s programmes and online courses. Within the framework of the National Technology Initiative, the consortium members on the basis of the Distributed Ledger Technologies Centre are working on large-scale tasks that require the involvement of organisations and experts from different fields of activity. The centre is open for cooperation leading to joint implementation of projects.

The consortium on the basis of the Distributed Ledger Technologies Centre at St Petersburg University was established on 9 December 2020, when the first such agreement was signed between St Petersburg University and the non-commercial partnership ‘RUSSOFT’. Today, in addition to St Petersburg University, RUSSOFT and the Computer Development Centre, the consortium includes the participants from the industry (‘Ingosstrakh’, ‘Web3 Integrator’, Findinamika, Mindsmith, and Joys Digital) and scientific and educational institutions (Bonch-Bruevich St Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, International Banking Institute, RUDN University, and the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation).
