Processing of documents of foreign applicants to the University has almost finished
6 July is the deadline for submission of documents from foreign entrants who want to receive a paid education to get a bachelor’s, master’s, specialist’s or doctoral degree.
Applicants must register in the personal account on the website of the Admissions Commission of St Petersburg University and fill out, print out, and sign an application for admission. Entrance examinations for those who apply for master’s studies and doctoral studies are held in the form of a documents’ (portfolios’) competition. Personal accomplishments are taken into account and they can result in additional points being given to contestants. Documents proving knowledge of the language of the educational programme are also considered. The requirements for paperwork and the list of personal accomplishments are available on the website of the Admissions Commission.
Foreign citizens applying for master’s and specialist’s studies must pass an entrance examination according to the timetable. They must register for it beforehand, and fill out all the necessary documents via personal accounts.
The lists of the foreign entrants, who have successfully passed competitive selection and have been recommended to be enrolled on the paid programme, will be published on the website of the Admissions Commission on 23 July. If a student visa is required to enter the Russian Federation, then you should fill out an application for a visa invitation and send it to admission@spbu.ru stating ‘visa invitation’ as a topic of the letter. Make sure that there are more than one and a half years between the date that your international passport expires and the visa issue date.
