PS(R)S: SPbU’s Open Olympiad for students and young specialists
In 2017/18 academic year, SPbU has held the second an open Olympiad for students and young specialists “Petropolitan Science (Re)Search” — PS(R)S.
If you are a students or a graduate of a university in Russia or abroad, seize the chance to take part!
October 16, the selection rounds in:
- Fundamental mechanics
- Computational technologies
- Physics
- Earth’s sciences
- Psychology
- Social sciences
- Political science
- International relations
- Economics and finance
- Philology
- Linguistics
- Arts History
- Interdisciplinary research
At the selection round, you should do one of the following, depending on your field of study: to a research work, to write an academic essay, to present a research project, to solve tasks, to pass a test or even prepare a video.
A hard nut to crack
The final test, regardless of your field of study, is a public 5-minute defense of your work in front of the jury committee that consists of SPbU’s staff, and an additional written task.
If you have passed the final test …
The Olympiad also focuses on different subject: mathematics (one round, you can register from February 28) and chemistry (as the International tournament in natural sciences, the selection round is over in September).
Those who win or are awarded prizes can gain additional scores to get enrolled on the master or post-graduate studies at SPbU. Free of charge and you can choose any number of subjects you are interested in.
