Researchers’ achievements propel SPbU
On the eve of the International Women’s Day in 2017, which has seen an intense global rivalry between universities, St Petersburg University makes the top 100 universities in the QS league tables by subjects in mathematics and linguistics. The University jumps into the top 150 in physics and astronomy and in 150 in computer science.
Much of the success lies in research advancements published and cited in the world’s leading journals. Thus, this earns the University a reputation in academic community and boost sits scientometrics.
SPbU makes the top 150 universities in history, philosophy, foreign language teaching among over 4 thousands universities globally.
The University makes the top 200 universities in management, sociology and law in the QS league tables due to the number of publications and citations.
SPbU Rector Nikolay Kropachev said that “This year has seen a dramatic rise in all academic spheres: both academic reputation and employer reputation, due to our scientists and scholars’ achievements”.
