SPbU is finishing accepting documents from international applicants
The SPbU application process for foreign citizens applying for state-funded places will be finished on 8 June.
The following holders of educational credentials allowing them to continue their training in one of the chosen main fields of study are entitled to participate in an open competition: foreign nationals and stateless citizens, including compatriots residing abroad. The applicants are required to register for a Personal Account through the SPbU website, fill in an application form and upload the required documents online. Holders of educational credentials issued in other countries than Russia have to formalise them in the prescribed order. The competition results will be announced on 2 July at the official website of the SPbU Admissions Committee.
This year, international applicants have a broad range of educational programmes to choose from, including new bachelor programmes: «Law (with Advanced Studies in Japanese Language and Law)» and «Archaeology». Prospective master students should pay attention to the following ones: «Condensed Matter Physics on the Mega-Class Research Facilities», «Digital Economy» and «Teaching Foreign Language for Specific Purposes at Higher Education Institutions». Future aspirantura students may find of interest such programmes as «Biblical Studies», «Conflictology» and so on.
Judging by the results of the 2017 admissions campaign, international applicants were most attracted by the following SPbU bachelor and specialist degree programmes: «General Medicine», «Economics», «Management», «Applied Mathematics and Informatics». Such programmes as «International Relations», «Linguistics», «Ecology and Nature Management», as well as aspirantura programmes «Political Science and Regional Studies’, «Linguistics and Literary Studies», «Physics and Astronomy» were also in demand.
Education opportunities at SPbU are pursued by applicants from both the former Soviet republics and countries outside the former USSR (such as China, Iran, Brazil, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, etc).
