St Petersburg University invites international applicants to master the Russian language and prepare for applying to university programmes
Applications for non-degree programme ‘Preparatory Course (for international citizens)’ are still accepted at St Petersburg University.
St Petersburg University helps foreign citizens to get ready for applying to bachelor’s, specialist’s, master’s and doctoral programmes. The first semester is totally dedicated to learning Russian as a foreign language. In their second semester students can choose a major and start learning their major subjects. Applicants can choose one of five specialisations: natural sciences, technical engineering, humanities, economics or medicine and biology.
At the end of the course, students take a final assessment in Russian, a pass-fail assessment in the specialist subjects and a test in Russian as a foreign language (TORFL — 1). Students who complete the course receive an established certificate from St Petersburg University.
You can apply for training here.
You can apply for places under contracts for paid educational services. Foreign citizens have a right to choose one of the educational formats:

For remote learners, classes will be organised online and all teaching and learning materials will be available electronically. The final test in Russian as a foreign language will also be held via distance technology.
