St Petersburg University will host the annual Drays of Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL Days).

Discover the latest trends and insights in the field of Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL) at this year’s event. Featuring methodological workshops, project presentations, roundtable discussions, and engaging talks, the programme will delve into the most pertinent topics in RFL education. We have brought together top RFL educators, who will share their expertise and passion with you. The main venue for the event will be the SPbU Centre for Additional Educational Programmes in Russian as a Foreign Language, located at 11 Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment.

13:30-14:00 Opening Ceremony of the Days of RFL at SPbU (Assembly Hall, Twelve Collegia Building)

14:00-15:30 Roundtable: Digital technologies in RFL: new technologies, gamification, digital resources for language and culture education (Assembly Hall, Twelve Collegia Building)

  • Irina Lysakova. Cultural Dialogue Variations in RFL Teaching in a Multicultural Audience
  • Tatiana Vladimirova. Game Technologies in RFL Teaching: Linguodidactic, Socio-Cultural, and Psychological-Pedagogical Potential

  • Role of the Russian language in the education and development of schoolchildren growing up in conditions of close linguistic and cultural contact
  • Features of speech development in Russian among multilingual preschool and school-age children
  • Specificity of the educational literature for primary schools with Russian as the language of instruction
