Management Essentials: Practical Management School

Programme description

The management school "Management Essentials" is aimed at beginning managers and employees with the potential to grow to a managerial level. The programme aims to master management tools without having to interrupt your career path.

Advantages of the programme
  • The optimal format allows you to master the material and immediately implement it in your work
  • Eight modules are offered from simple modules to complex modules
  • Video lectures and self-study materials are combined with live webinars. Homework and final projects are based on real business situations
  • We use an up-to-date learning management system OWL LMS, where students receive materials from teachers and view them in a convenient format, upload homework, take tests and monitor their grades
  • Students can get support from a tutor throughout the training period to ensure that they will not miss important messages from teachers, not to miss a deadline and successfully complete the programme
Content and structure

The programme has eight modules that are built from simple to complex. 

To successfully master the programme, you will need up to 5-7 hours per week 

  • Introductory module. Typical mistakes of managers 
  • Module 1. What is our employee like? Benefits of flexible management. Approaches to managing different types of employees, taking into account their personality and behaviour 
  • Module 2. Manager-leader. What is proactivity, power and leadership. How to use them correctly 
  • Module 3. How a team works. Principles of teamwork and factors that determine its effectiveness 
  • Module 4. Managing employee performance. What mistakes in managing these processes can be avoided 
  • Module 5. Motivation/engagement management. Concepts of motivation and engagement. Methods of measuring and increasing engagement in a company or department 
  • Module 6. Managing employee development. The concept of a competency model and an approach to competency management 
  • Module 7. Career management. Exploring the concept of career. How to plan a career for yourself and your subordinates
