Russian for Foreigners. Level A1
The course is designed to:
- Prepare international students for the study of professional educational programs in Russian
- Meet the basic communicative needs of international students using the Russian language in social, cultural, and academic-professional contexts
- Introduce international students to the Russian language system and develop their baseline language skills within the A1 level of Russian language proficiency
The course is also useful for those who wish to start learning Russian from scratch before arriving in Russia, allowing them to adapt more quickly and successfully to their new environment.
The programme focuses on practical language skills and is suitable for those planning to continue their studies in undergraduate, specialist, and master’s programmes. The course opens new opportunities for foreigners preparing for admission to Russian universities. The programme is available to applicants worldwide.
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand simple speech in Russian and take part in conversations in common social, educational and professional situations.
The programme consists of practical Russian language classes. Students have access to an e-library with all the necessary study materials.
At the end of the programme, students take the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language (TORFL) at the A1 level.
