Chess Tournament

We invite all interested participants to join the chess match tournament, held in honour of St Petersburg University Day, as part of the SPbU Team. The match will take place between St Petersburg State University and Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University.
The university has a long-standing tradition of organising chess competitions. Every year, tournaments are held to honour SPbU alumni and World Chess Champions Boris Spassky and Anatoly Karpov. One of the most notable events of the late 20th century was a series of matches against the Polytechnic Institute, played on 100 boards (25 matches in total).
