12 February 2025
Time: 11 am
St Petersburg, Smolnogo St., 1/3, Entrance 9, Room 119

St Petersburg University will host a meeting with retired Colonel Tamara Netyksa of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service.

Tamara Ivanovna Netyksa began her career in state security in 1972. In 1978, she completed full training as an undercover intelligence officer and mastered the Spanish language. She served abroad for 20 years (1978–1998) under special conditions. Alongside her husband, Vitaly Netyksas, she participated in operational missions for the Intelligence Center, including handling agent networks and collecting valuable intelligence.

For her exceptional service as an undercover intelligence officer, Tamara Netyksa has been awarded the Order "For Military Merit," the Medal of the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" (II Class), the Medal "For Combat Merit," the badge "For Service in Intelligence," and various commemorative medals. She holds the honorary title "Honoured Employee of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service." Currently, she is active in veteran organizations of the Foreign Intelligence Service and engages in patriotic education for youth.

This event is part of a series commemorating undercover intelligence officers and military intelligence personnel, organized by the St Petersburg Committee for External Relations since 2021.
