The undergraduate programme "Translation and Translation Studies (English and Romance Languages)" is aimed at training qualified multidisciplinary specialists in cross-linguistic communication, with two language pairs: "Russian — English" and "Russian — Italian/Portuguese/Romanian" (or, if necessary, "Foreign Language A — Foreign Language B").
The training involves not only mastering the theoretical foundations of interlingual and intercultural communication, modern digital translation tools, and industry-specific terminology, but also includes practical training during translation internships.

These include legal, financial, business, medical, literary, scientific, popular science, mass media, and journalistic translation, as well as segments of the modern translation industry such as translation of political and economic discourse, translation in marketing, PR, IT, artificial intelligence, simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, and digital content localisation, etc
- The programme emphasises practical training, offering internship placements at the SPbU Social Translation Centre, Resource Centre for Sociological and Internet Research at the SPbU Research Park, as well as at leading companies and organisations in St Petersburg
