NUCLEUS — 2025. Nuclear Physics, Elementary Particle Physics and Nuclear Technologies

St Petersburg University will host the LXXV International Conference ‘NUCLEUS — 2025. Nuclear Physics, Elementary Particle Physics and Nuclear Technologies ‘, exploring topical challenges in nuclear physics, high energy physics, nuclear power engineering, nuclear medicine, and research studies with using synchrotron radiation and neutrons.

The conference includes 8 panels:

  • Experimental and theoretical studies of atomic nuclei properties
  • Experimental and theoretical investigations of nuclear reactions
  • Contemporary nuclear physics methods and technologies
  • Relativistic nuclear physics, fundamental particle physics and high energy physics
  • Neutrino physics and astrophysics
  • Synchrotron and neutron research studies and supporting infrastructure for them
  • Nuclear medicine

Nuclear physics methods in cultural heritage studies The conference is the oldest nuclear physics conference in Russia and one of the world’s longest-running meetings in this field (established in 1950). The gathering is co-hosted by St Petersburg University, Russian Scientific Centre ’Kurchatov Institute", and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.
