The Clinic for Digital Support of Educational Projects

The Clinic for Digital Support of Educational Projects is a division of St Petersburg University. By accumulating modern innovative pedagogical experience, it provides students with the opportunity to improve their professional competencies related to pedagogy.

The main principles underlying the Clinic’s activities:

  • The innovative nature of student practices (the idea of proactive training, becoming proficient in digital didactics, digital tools and platforms, and so on); and
  • Variability (forms of practice, activities, target groups — children, parents, and teachers)

Each student of the University has the opportunity to choose the focus area or type of activity that is as close as possible to their professional profile.

Main activities

Pedagogical advice

design and support of individual learning routes for school students

Holding of events

Lessons, workshops, webinars, conferences, etc.

Project activity

development of digital learning content; development and support of school students’ educational and research projects

Expert analyses

assessment of academic programmes, learning content, and thematic websites; the study of current issues in modern education; and so on

Projects involved:

  • Sirius Educational Centre
  • Centres for identifying and supporting gifted youth (St Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, Khanty-Mansiysk, etc.)
  • Scientific and practical conference on R&D activities "Krona. The Discovery and Transformation Strategy"
  • The pedagogical classes movement
  • Project "Preparing Parents for Their Child’s School Years"
  • Popularisation of scientific and technological knowledge and high technologies; and
  • Personalisation of education in the context of digital transformation of society

Forms of practical training:

  • Pedagogical assistance in the implementation of school students’ R&D projects
  • Assistance to school students in preparing for participation in scientific and practical conferences
  • Supporting the educational process implemented on digital platforms
  • Assistance to students in building an individual learning process; and
  • Designing learning content (development of lessons, webinars, excursions, etc.).

The duration of practical training through clinical experience is determined both by the request of the employer and the needs of the student. If teaching practice is provided for by the curriculum of a particular academic programme, a student may partially do it at the Clinic.
