Our advantages

The programme trains medical specialists who know and can use modern innovative technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of neurosurgical diseases.

The programme makes extensive use of active and interactive forms of teaching (computer simulations, business and role-playing games, case studies, psychological and other training) in combination with extracurricular activities in order to form and develop students’ professional skills. Academic courses include meetings with representatives of Russian and foreign companies, government and public organisations, master classes with experts and specialists.

Otherwise, the major part of the programme is taken up by the residency itself — practical work with patients, on the basis of which, with the help of the department staff and individual work with recommended medical literature, the intern systematises and deepens the acquired knowledge, forms a full range of professional skills.

Graduates are prepared for preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, psychological, educational, organisational and managerial activities.
