Programme description
- The bachelor’s programme ‘Khmer Philology (with the additional qualification "Translator/Interpreter")’ is aimed at developing in students a systematic understanding of the Khmer language, literature, folklore, traditional and contemporary cultures, history and ethnography of Cambodia. Students also study in depth Khmer.
- The programme provides students with universal, vocational, specialised professional competencies in Khmer philology. They enable them to: solve current issues in theoretical and practical linguistics and literature studies; and analyse and evaluate current sociopolitical and cultural processes and their reflection in literature and language.
- This programme is aimed at applicants who strive to build a successful career in: various divisions of Russian and international companies; state authorities; and administrative institutions.
- Upon completion of the programme, graduates are awarded the additional qualification ‘Translator/Interpreter’.
