Museums of St Petersburg University reopen to visitors
Everybody is now welcome to visit the Nabokov museum and the Mendeleev Museum and Archives. Other collections will become available soon too.
A few more museums will open shortly: St Petersburg University History museum (17 August); the Mineralogical museum (24 August); and the Herbarium of St Petersburg University (31 August). In September guests will be welcome in the Palaeontological and Stratigraphic museum (7 September), the Petrography museum (14 September), and the Palaeontology museum (21 September). Reopening dates of other museums will be announced later. At the moment online visitors have access to virtual tours and e-catalogue. These enable people to take a close look at the objects of museum expositions and funds of the University.

We would like to point out that due to the epidemiological situation special visiting rules apply to the museums of St Petersburg University. Not more than 10 people can be simultaneously in one room, provided they are able to keep a distance of 1.5 – 2 metres. Visitors are required to wear a face mask and disposable gloves (they can be purchased at the entrance). Also, visitors will have their temperature taken with a contactless thermometer.
