The Gastroenterology residency programme aims to train medical professionals who possess and are able to use modern innovative technologies in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of gastroenterological diseases of various profiles.

The programme aims to train medical professionals who possess and are able to use modern innovative technologies in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of gastroenterological diseases of various profiles.
The programme makes extensive use of active and interactive forms of teaching (computer simulations, business and role-playing games, case studies, psychological and other training) in combination with extracurricular activities in order to form and develop students’ professional skills.
Practical skills are honed in the SPbU’s simulation centre using modern, high-tech equipment.
Graduates are prepared for preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, psychological, educational, organisational and managerial activities.
