Programme description

The residency program "Therapeutic Physical Culture and Sports Medicine" focuses on training medical specialists to enhance patients’ quality of life. This is achieved by using a combination of medical and psychological interventions to restore or compensate for lost functions in affected organs or body systems. The program also supports patients during acute or chronic health crises, prevents future health issues, and helps manage disabilities. Ultimately, it aims to improve patients’ daily lives, maintain their work capacity, and integrate them back into society.

Our advantages

The programme trains medical specialists who know and can use modern innovative technologies in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various diseases of various profiles. 

The programme makes extensive use of active and interactive forms of teaching (computer simulations, business and role-playing games, case studies, psychological and other training) in combination with extracurricular activities in order to form and develop students’ professional skills. Academic courses include meetings with representatives of Russian and foreign companies, government and public organisations, master classes with experts and specialists. 

Practical work with patients is an important part of residency training, allowing residents to systematise and deepen their knowledge and develop the full range of professional skills. 

Graduates will protect the health of citizens by ensuring the provision of high quality medical care in accordance with established health care requirements and standards. Graduates are prepared for preventive, diagnostic, therapeutic, rehabilitative, psychological, educational, organisational and managerial activities.
