The Vastness of Space

The exhibition is devoted to imagination and foresight, showcasing bold artistic visions of the universe. While ancient astronomy, modern telescopes, and scientific reports strive to dispel cosmic myths through precise calculations, these are often overlooked by the casual Earthbound observer—allowing myth to endure. It lives on in films, books, fables by ‘eyewitnesses’, and, of course, in the works of artists who create fantasy worlds. The exhibition features paintings, graphic works, art objects, and sculptures by contemporary St Petersburg artists.
