Current access to electronic resources
Currently, there are multiple avenues for accessing electronic resources.
- Installing the ProxyLibrary SPbU extension for the Yandex browser on a desktop computer or laptop
- Access to electronic resources from Android mobile devices
- Installing the ProxyLibrary SPbU extension for Mozilla Firefox
- Access the entire range of the current subscription, both on and off the St Petersburg University network, using desktop computers, laptops, and the Chrome browser.
- Installing a special ProxyLibrary SPbU extension for the Chrome browser (instructions for installing the extension, be sure to read to the end!)
- One-time authorisation using a single st***** account at the first login to any academic resource (journal or publisher website, etc.). Authorisation persists until the end of the session when you are authorised to work on a multi-user computer (e.g. in a reading room) or until you shut down or restart the computer.
- Important! Does not work with VPN enabled, including VPN of St Petersburg University.
- If there are issues with the operation of the installed plugin (extension), we advise you to clear the browser and reinstall the extension. If it doesn’t help, contact the Information Technology Service of St Petersburg University (not the library!)
- Please note that the previously installed Lean Library extension will only work in the Chrome browser with the ProxyLibrary extension installed!
- From all IP addresses on the St Petersburg University network:
- Orbit — Access to the resource is possible through the National LIbrary website or by direct link. Access is only possible from computers on the St Petersburg University network or using the St Petersburg University VPN.
