20 of the 30 scientific journals of St Petersburg University are indexed by Scopus and the Web of Science Core Collection. These are the most recognised scientometric databases of publications and citations in the world. Publication in the indexed edition receives more recognition than any other edition, regardless of scientometric indicators. One of the key elements for publication is an independent peer review, which is usually “double-blind”. Consequently, any scientific work is rigorously selected before it is published in the journal, and indexed by the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The fact that the University uses the Open Journal System publishing resource ensures maximum transparency of all publishing procedures. All articles are published free of charge.
