- The programme focuses on: the development of narrative journalism techniques; technologies of storytelling and effective text; and the study of solution strategies using the content of various tasks set by the media, state and public structures, and business

- Graduates of the programme are able to: create full-fledged information products (texts, documents, screenplay outlines, multimedia content, creative concepts and other creative works) for various media; and analyse and do post-production of media content and digital products using modern technologies
- Graduates of the programme have the skills to produce professional original content for social networks, blogs, messengers, hybrid media projects and its promotion on digital platforms
- Project activities make it possible to master practical skills and develop research skills
- Extensive contacts with Russian and foreign partners enable international exchanges
- Professional activity sites include: a student training press centre; the 1st Line informational and educational portal; the Training newspaper; St Petersburg University Media Centre; and international competitions such as Mass Media Perspective and PolitPRpro

- Graduates of the programme are able to: create full-fledged information products (texts, documents, screenplay outlines, multimedia content, creative concepts and other creative works) for various media and platforms; and analyse and do post-production of media content and digital products using modern technologies
- In addition to the fundamental courses, master’s students can choose to study one of three thematic tracks: "Text in Digital Media"; "Media Linguistics"; and "Content Marketing"
- Master’s students are provided with: mentor support during their first year of studies; and exclusive training courses with the Silamedia company. They also master multimedia skills on the SilaTrek platform
- Master’s students are given a creative notebook at the start of their studies, designed especially by graduates of our programme. This Mediatext workbook will help to build and follow an individual educational route
- The training is provided mainly through real project work, based on case studies and practical tasks. Project defences and presentations are hold in public with the participation of visiting experts and employers. During training, master’s students form a professional portfolio of materials and projects completed for a particular client
- Master’s students work with industry experts, expand their professional contacts, and develop their own expertise
- Among extracurricular activities are: useful crash courses; brainstorming sessions; workshops by experts and media managers; Media Text Marathon; meetups; conferences; and contests
- Students join research teams and do large research projects for the media market: brand media; native advertising; and media auditing and rebranding
- The programme partners are: Silamedia Multimedia Communications Laboratory; Palindrom; the Journalist Media Group and the House of Journalists; Delovoy Peterburg Newspaper; and the Next Media company.
