The programme "Translation and Business Communication in Atomic Energy" is designed to train highly qualified specialists with an in-depth knowledge of specialised English in atomic energy as well as a second foreign language. A significant place among the disciplines of the programme is planned to be given to professional communication skills in atomic energy and translation management. The programme involves studying a termbase, principles and methods of interpreting and translation, and business intercultural communication in foreign economic activity.

The skills acquired during the training will also enable graduates to work as military translators and interpreters in the field of nuclear technology and as translators and interpreters in the field of nuclear medicine. Graduates will be able to successfully apply their acquired skills in the following areas of research, applied and industrial activities: translation organisation and management; foreign trade; consecutive interpreting; use of computer-assisted translation; translation of technical and contractual documentation; their second foreign language in business; business writing; annotating; abstracting; and intercultural communication in foreign trade.
