Programme description
  • The academic programme is designed to: introduce students to the main areas of modern computer technology; develop skills in structuring and processing information; and develop skills to build mathematical and computer models of different objects and systems
  • The academic programme provides training for experts in systems analysis and control; and in any field that uses cutting-edge computational methods and software tools. They are also capable of solving specific design and engineering problems
  • The programme is suitable for school leavers who are interested in studying physics, mathematics and computer science, and have a good background in computer science and mathematics

Career opportunities

Practical training takes place at such organisations as: Siemens and Scientific and Technical Centre RATEC; the high-performance computing complex based at St Petersburg University; and the Department of Information and Nuclear Technologies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna. They can also participate in various research projects, including the creation of the Russian core facility centre based on the new NICA accelerator complex.
