- The academic programme is designed to: introduce students to the main areas of modern computer technology; develop skills in structuring and processing information; and develop skills to build mathematical and computer models of different objects and systems
- The academic programme provides training for experts in systems analysis and control; and in any field that uses cutting-edge computational methods and software tools. They are also capable of solving specific design and engineering problems
- The programme is suitable for school leavers who are interested in studying physics, mathematics and computer science, and have a good background in computer science and mathematics

Career opportunities
Practical training takes place at such organisations as: Siemens and Scientific and Technical Centre RATEC; the high-performance computing complex based at St Petersburg University; and the Department of Information and Nuclear Technologies of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna.
