- The programme is designed to train experts who are capable of: identifying and analysing relationships in economic systems of various levels; developing and taking economic, financial and organisational decisions; and evaluating their results, taking into account socio-economic efficiency, risks and possible socio-economic consequences
- Students acquire fundamental knowledge in economics, mathematics, social sciences and humanities. This includes fundamental training in: modern economic theory, mathematics, computer science, statistics, econometrics, and foreign languages. Students also study applied economic disciplines, carry out research, and have practical training and internships

- The degree programme ‘Economic and Mathematical Methods’ is focused on the requirements of the present-day labour market for specialists whose responsibilities include solving complex and non-standard computational and economic problems associated with using advanced mathematical tools and the cutting-edge information technologies.
- The programme is unique in that it focuses is on the development of students' competencies, skills and abilities to choose mathematical methods and applied tools for solving problems in economic activity.
- A central focus in the learning process is on an in-depth study of: the disciplines of the mathematical cycle; methods of micro- and macroeconomic modelling; operations research; game theory; statistical and econometric analysis; and advanced methods of financial mathematics.
- Graduates of the bachelor’s programmes speak English at a level of proficiency comparable to the B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The academic programme has been designed taking into account professional standards and the views of employers on the compliance of graduates' competencies and job functions in their professional activities.
Students have an opportunity to take part in academic mobility programmes.There are over 300 leading universities in Europe, America and Asia among partner universities. Depending on the programme, students may qualify for a scholarship and either paid or free accommodation in a hall of residence. The list of academic mobility programmes is updated annually.
