I decided to learn Russian because I have been a fan of President Putin since I was 10 years old, I love Russian culture.
I found out about the SPbU course through a friend who saw its offer at the state scholarship allocation agency in Niger. The course is a mixture of everything: listening, grammar, vocabulary, writing, and it fully met my expectations. We had an exemplary teacher; Prof Mikhail is very good.
One problem I encountered was conflicts with the timetable, as I was doing my doctorate at the time. Another big problem is the stability of the internet connection here in Niger. Fortunately, I have been able to catch up on missed classes through video recordings. In the future, I hope that SPbU will open a centre here in Niamey (Niger) to solve the connection problem.
With my doctorate in agroeconomics and mastery of the Russian language, I hope to promote cooperation between Russia and Nigeria. With the new relationship between our countries, my skillset will be very useful in potential joint projects (be it management, translation, business trips to Russia, etc.).
