At the invitation of the Rector of the Pacific State University, Karin Kneissl, Head of the Geopolitical Observatory on Russia's Key Issues, visited the city of Khabarovsk.
At the Pacific State University, on behalf of Governor Mikhail Degtyarev, Professor Karin Kneissl was presented with a certificate of honour and a silver medal with the coat of arms of the Khabarovsk Territory. Then a lecture by the Head of the G.O.R.K.I. Centre «Prospects of Russia's Turn to the East and the Role of the Far East in International Relations» was held, which was attended by more than 350 students and professors. Talented individuals, not just human resources. Karin Kneissl spoke about this approach to identifying personalities who live in the Far East or move here in her speech.
The turn to the East did not begin yesterday, but 20 years ago, and now the Far East is moving from the periphery to the centre. The Russian Far East is now the centre stage of geopolitics.

The next day, a business game in the format of an OPEC+ meeting was held, where the students acted as representatives of the participating countries of the organisation. The «G.O.R.K.I. mock» model is a unique development of the G.O.R.K.I. Centre SPbU Centre and allows the participants of the game to acquire the necessary practical negotiation skills and improve their level of business English.
As part of the cultural programme, Karin Kneissl visited the Amur Tiger Centre, which has been a partner of the organisation for many years. Together with the Governor's wife, she visited a tiger cub being rehabilitated at the centre.
