Karin Kneissl, Head of the Geopolitical Observatory on Key Issues of Russia at St. Petersburg State University (G.O.R.K.I. Centre of St. Petersburg State University), talked to participants of the personnel reserve of the city's Youth Parliament.
The meeting took place at the Mariinsky Palace. Among the main topics of interest were diplomacy, media work and current news agenda.
"One of my first trips was to Khabarovsk. There I co-operated with the Pacific State University. I would advise everyone to pay attention to the regions of Russia. Their potential is enormous. From other observations, it seems to me that in Russia it is easy to combine work and personal life. Because the state allocates significant funds to support families", said Karin Kneissl, head of G.O.R.K.I. Centre SPbU.
Karin Kneissl also touched upon the topic of university education in Russia. She noted that her experience shows that Russian students are highly motivated and ambitious.
