Karin Kneissl, Head of the G.O.R.K.I. Centre of SPbU, gave a lecture at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of SPbU entitled «Territory, History and Religion in the Israeli-Palestinian Dilemma, with an Update on the Drama».

The topic of the meeting was a logical continuation of the previous lecture and touched upon such issues as the escalation of the confrontation between Palestine and Israel, as well as the status of Jerusalem and the borders of Israel. The discussion on religion in the context of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict was of particular interest to the audience. During the lecture, the students asked Karin Kneissl numerous questions, each of which she answered in detail. 

After the meeting, the students shared that they had gained useful experience not only in the field of geopolitics, but also in the field of English and are looking forward to more lectures by Professor Karin Kneissl, both at the Faculty of Oriental Studies and at the G.O.R.K.I. Centre of SPbU.
