About G-RISC
“German-Russian Interdisciplinary Science Center” (G-RISC) – is a joint project of Freie Universität Berlin and St Petersburg University. G-RISC was established in 2010 as a research and education platform for intensifying and strengthening interdisciplinary scientific work between Russia and Germany in the field of natural sciences such as: Physics, Geophysics, Physical Chemistry and Mathematics and related interdisciplinary areas – fundamental and applied investigations in environmental research, life sciences, material sciences.
G-RISC is a prestigious international project aimed at establishing international cooperation of young researchers. Until 2019 G-RISC was funded by DAAD, starting from 2019 the project is co-financed by DAAD, SPbU and FUB.
G-RISC Office
G-RISC offices are based at St Petersburg University and Freie Universität Berlin.
G-RISC is directed by the Steering Committee that consists of 4 experts from Russia, Germany, and a representative of DAAD. The Steering Committee decides on all issues related to G-RISC, but its main focus is the evaluation of the proposals and decision on funding.
