The Tour Guiding Clinic develops and conducts guided tours for St Petersburg University and external clients. The Clinic also offers expert evaluations of guided tours and tourist products, and provides methodological support in tourism and tour guiding to state institutions, public organisations, and commercial companies.

Our mission
To help students learn how to apply academic knowledge to address specific challenges in the development, implementation, and promotion of guided tours and tourism products.
The internship at the Tour Guiding Clinic will provide students with hands-on experience in both working with people (conducting guided tours, workshops, quizzes, and quests), and in methodology, research, and project activities, including: developing guided tours; creating and promoting tourist products; evaluating tour guiding materials; and organising specialised academic and professional events.
Geo-quest dedicated to the 300th anniversary of St Petersburg University
Development and implementation of a geo-quest to celebrate the 300th anniversary of St Petersburg University on City Day. Participants are to solve tasks related to St Petersburg University’s history at various locations along the route, learning interesting facts and ultimately making their way to the main campus of the University on Vasilyevsky Island.

Guided tours for the 225th birth anniversary of Alexander Pushkin
In accordance with the plan of major events for the preparation and celebration of the 225th birth anniversary of Alexander Pushkin, approved by the Russian Government, St Petersburg University developed a package of three guided tours focused on the poet’s life and literary works connected to the city, as well as the reception of his work by its residents: "Alexander Pushkin and Musical and Literary Salons of the First Half of the 19th Century"; "Alexander Pushkin and the Decembrists in Soviet Art"; and "Morozov and the Sun: Alexander Pushkin Through the Eyes of St Petersburg Readers in the Late 19th and Early 20th Centuries".

Special Tourist Programmes for the Priyutino Literary and Arts Estate-Museum
The student interns of the Tour Guiding Clinic created three special walking and coach tour programmes to broaden the Priyutino Estate-Museum’s audience: "Coming to Myself — to Your Priyutino"; "Sublime Amours of the Priyutino Estate: Pushkin, the Olenins, and Others"; and "Priyutino and the Musical and Literary Salons of the First Half of the 19th Century".
Commissioned by and implemented in partnership with the Priyutino Literary and Art Museum-Estate (an affiliate of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of the Leningrad Region "Museum Agency").
Guided tour of the exhibition "The usefulness, durability and beauty of peasant architecture. Aesthetics of historical wooden buildings"
From 15 November to 18 December 2023, St. Petersburg University hosted an exhibition organised by the Kizhi State Open-Air Museum of History, Architecture, and Ethnography. In collaboration with experts from the Rakhmanov All-Russian Centre for the Preservation of Wooden Architecture and the Department of the History of Russian Art at St Petersburg University, a half-hour guided tour of the exhibition was developed. Evening sessions of these guided tours were conducted by the University lecturers and students.
