The master’s programme "Cultural Linguistics of Great Britain and the USA" provides students with knowledge of: the national distinctness of the English language; historical, geopolitical and cultural features of Great Britain and the USA; and behavioural, gender, status and age characteristics of speech activity of their citizens as bearers of traditions and culture of the English-speaking society. The knowledge acquired contributes to the formation of research skills using cutting-edge methods of language analysis, and professional use of English during translation and interpreting activities. This ensures that graduates of this master’s programme are much-in-demand in the labour market.
