  • The curriculum of the academic programme "Foreign Literatures and Cultures" is designed to train multi-skilled experts with a deep understanding of the regularities of the world literary process, literary theory and genre system. They also know foreign languages and are capable of successful teaching and research activities
  • The graduates of the department have comprehensive training in the history of foreign literature and literary studies. They are able to independently analyse literary material. They are also philologists in the broad sense and speak foreign languages at a high level

  • Research into literary phenomena in the context of the literary process of the era, which determined their ideological and thematic, and genre and stylistic specific features
  • Research into the national social and culturally specific features of the literary phenomena
