Programme description
- The master’s programme "Legal Protection of Economic Competition" is implemented at St Petersburg University with the support of the Federal Antimonopoly Service. The programme is unique in that it provides training for specialists who are able to perform professional duties in relations related to: protection of competition; prevention and suppression of monopolistic activities and unfair competition; and procurement activities. The teaching staff use advanced teaching methods including information technology, case studies, role plays, and business games
- The programme is aimed at training experts with all the required skills and competences for the professional activity of a lawyer in the field of competition law and law aimed at establishing a competitive framework for business activities, including legislation on procurement, tendering and other competitive procedures. Graduates also acquire general academic and professional competences
- Graduates of the programme are sought after by: the direct participants in economic relations; government agencies implementing public law functions in the sphere of competition protection; specialised legal consultancy companies; lawyers’ associations; and all other economic agents interested in employing specialists in the sphere of competition protection

- The programme is implemented with the participation of: practitioners from the central office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation and its departments; judges of arbitration courts of appeal and cassation; and representatives of employers
- The programme has been designed with the direct involvement of: the Federal Antimonopoly Service; the legal community including the international non-governmental organisation ‘The International Association of Lawyers’, and the Association of Lawyers of Russia; and employers. It is aimed at training experts who will have all the necessary skills and competencies for the lawyer's professional activities in: competition law; procurement; bidding; and other competition proceedings
