The programme is designed to train specialists in physical rehabilitation who are proficient in innovative methods of therapeutic physical training, massage, and physiotherapy. These specialists will be skilled in applying modern technologies when working with patients who have impairments in body functions and structures, as well as activity limitations resulting from injuries, illnesses, and/or medical conditions.

The programme focuses on studying theoretical and practical aspects of educational activities management and rehabilitation for individuals with impairments of body functions and structures, as well as activity limitations resulting from injuries, diseases, and/or medical conditions. Physical rehabilitation specialists trained through this programme master innovative methods of therapeutic physical training, massage, and physiotherapy, while developing competencies in applying modern technologies when working with patients.
During their studies, students are offered opportunities to participate in research projects under the guidance of St Petersburg University’s faculty. The interdisciplinary approach enables students to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in related fields of physical rehabilitation. The programme’s strong practical focus is ensured through the development of skills at St Petersburg University’s simulation centre while using cutting-edge, realistic equipment, as well as through practical training at leading clinical facilities. All these distinctive features of the educational programme equip graduates with competencies to develop and implement individualised physical rehabilitation programmes for people with disabilities and special health needs.
