Days of Korean Cinema in St Petersburg
In November, the National Library of Russia will begin a series of meetings "Days of Korean Cinema in St Petersburg". The events will be devoted to Korean cinema of the 20th-21st centuries. Lectures will be delivered by leading experts in the field of Korean culture and art.
Programme
13 November
At 12 noon — "The Daughters of Pharmacist Kim" (1963); in the original language with Russian subtitles. The lecture will be delivered by Inna Tsoi, Associate Professor in the Department of Korean Studies at St Petersburg University.
20 November
At 12 noon — "Our Twisted Hero" (1992); in the original language with Russian subtitles. The lecture will be delivered by Anastasiia Gureva, Associate Professor in the Department of Korean Studies at St Petersburg University.
24 November
At 6 pm — "A Taxi Driver" (2017); in Russian voice acting. The lecture will be delivered by Lee Sang Yoon, Associate Professor at the Higher School of Economics.
27 November
At 12 noon — "Burning" (2018); in Russian voice acting. The lecture will be delivered by Rimma Tangalycheva, Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology of Culture and Communications at St Petersburg University.
4 December
At 12 noon — "Parasite" (2019); in Russian voice acting. The lecture will be delivered by Sergei Ilchenko, Professor in the Department of TV and Radio Journalism at St Petersburg University.
